为了证明一个机箱很结实，通常我们会测量一下它的板材厚度，又或者用更直接的手法，让机箱做个自由落体，看看它是否会严重变形。不过Fractal Design认为这些方法都弱爆了，因此他们决定测试一下旗下Define XL机箱的防弹能力。

Fractal Design的Define XL机箱早在去年年底就正式发布，不少国外媒体已经做过了评测，基本上都给予了好评。这次是Fractal Design的官方评测，评测项目只有一项，那就是防弹性能。

他们用霰弹枪向Define XL机箱的侧板连续射击了10发12号霰弹，整块侧板因为巨大的冲击力而完全变形，背后的吸音棉也因此破裂，但侧板本身仅被打出几个小洞。而用作于对比的普通机箱侧板则被一枪击穿，差距很大。
